The World Health Organization has expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their support for the fight against COVOD-19.
In a Twitter message from his official Twitter handle, the WHO Director-General. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanked the Saudi King, Crown Prince and the people of Saudi Arabia for donating $10M to WHO for “the implementation of urgent measures to minimize the spread of #COVID19 & to support countries with vulnerable health infrastructures.”
COVID-19 first broke out in Wuhan, China in 2019 as has since spread to 110 countries/territories/places, with 110,055 confirmed cases, and 3,816 reported deaths.
The WHO earlier declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) to galvanize resources for the fight against the disease.
