The President of Rwanda, H. E Paul Kagame, has appointed two new ministers for the health ministries in the country.
The first one, Dr. Paul Ngamije, was appointed the minister of health. Dr. Ngamije works with the WHO country office in Rwanda before his appointment.

Also, a new minister for Public Health and Primary Health Care was appointed. He is Dr. Tharcisse Mpunga.
Until his appointment, Dr. Mpunga was the Director General of Butaro Hospital that specialises in cancer.
The two ministers were both sworn in yesterday.

It will be recalled that the former Minister of Health, Dr. Diane Gashumba recently resigned from her position due to what the Office of the Prime Minister called “habitual gross errors and leadership failures.”
